Environmental Specialities (ESI) was founded in 1985 with a mission
to provide quality and dependable pressroom products to printers
in North America. Initially, ESI only distributed products from
the recognized leaders in pressroom chemistry and coatings from
around the world (Terra Lacke, Hanns Eggen).
In 2002, ESI licensed the technology to produce the high-quality
and environmentally friendly coatings of Europe. Now both
Waterbased and U.V. coatings are produced in ESI's Chicago
plant, a centrally located 24,000 square foot facility.
The coatings are inventoried in warehouses throughout the
country to quickly respond to the needs of our customers.
Our products are manufactured using the highest quality raw
materials available. All incoming materials must meet established
quality control specifications. Finished products are tested by
our lab to make sure they pass mulitple q.c. specifications.
We pride ourselves on our "batch to batch" consistency.
What you get today is the same as six months ago.
With support from Europe as well as our team of talented coating
and ink formulators, we can develop custom coatings for you.
We have been called upon to formulate specialty coatings and
coating systems for some of the most respected commercial
and carton printers. Whether it be a pearl coating or a tinted
varnish, we will give you and your clients the best possible
color match.
